Genesis is the book of beginnings.
It tells the story of creation, humanity's fall into sin, God's promises, and the beginning of His plan to redeem the world through Jesus Christ.
From the first page of Scripture, we see a God who creates with purpose, pursues sinners with grace, and remains faithful to His promises through every generation.

📚 A Simple Reading Plan
Take your time.
Genesis contains 50 chapters, so plan to read one chapter each day, making this about a seven-week journey.
Don't rush through the familiar stories. Instead, look for the thread of God's faithfulness woven through every chapter.
As you read, ask yourself:
- What does this chapter reveal about God's character?
- How does this point forward to Jesus Christ?
- What does this teach me about trusting God's promises?
Keep a journal nearby. Genesis is full of themes that echo throughout the entire Bible, so write down connections you notice.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for revealing Yourself from the very beginning. As I read Genesis, help me see Your wisdom in creation, Your mercy toward sinners, and Your faithfulness to every promise. Open my eyes to see how this book points forward to Jesus Christ and Your plan of redemption.

Now that you've completed these foundations, continue exploring God's Word. Study at your own pace, ask questions, compare Scripture with Scripture, and let the Holy Spirit guide your understanding. Find a good devotional that you're comfortable with. Utilize AI while it's still Christian friendly & helpful.
I encourage a daily habit of reading your Bible before you do anything else. It really does set the tone of your attitude and the day. It doesn't have to be a crazy long session. It can be 5-10 minutes to start daily. If you're anything like me, eventually you'll realize that you have to put your Bible down because of other obligations and responsibilities...which to me is a wonderful dilemma to find yourself in. It makes you want to come back to it, which is a good, good thing. The only way to get closer to God is through His Word. Think of it as God's love letter to you
