Called by Grace, Created for His Purpose

📖 Scripture: 2 Timothy 1:1–3, 6–10
⚓️ Anchor Verse: 2 Timothy 1:9
What if the life God has called us to live isn't about earning His approval, but responding to the grace He has already given?
In his second letter to Timothy, the apostle Paul reminds his beloved spiritual son that salvation is not a reward for good behavior, religious accomplishments, or personal righteousness. It is a gift rooted in God's eternal purpose and grace, given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
But God's grace doesn't leave us unchanged.
The same God who saves us also calls us to holiness, courage, love, and faithful service. Through Jesus Christ, death has been defeated, eternal life has been brought to light, and we have been given a purpose far greater than anything we could accomplish on our own.
In today's Our Daily Bread study, we'll explore 2 Timothy 1:1–3, 6–10, discovering what it means to be saved by grace, called to a holy life, and equipped to live boldly for Christ.
Our companion study, “Not Because of Our Works,” takes us deeper into the beautiful relationship between grace, faith, salvation, and good works through Ephesians 2:8–10.
❤️ A truth to carry with us today:
We do not live holy lives to earn God's grace. We pursue holiness because His grace has already reached us.
Saved by grace. Called with purpose. Transformed for His glory.
